Who we are

Glitchy Rocket makes video games, and runs this website. This policy covers all of our games on every platform, and this website. For any privacy question or request, use the form on our data deletion page.

What we collect

We keep this to what the games need. Our games don't have player accounts, and we don't ask for your name, address or phone number.

  • Gameplay and device data. How the games are played (for example levels, sessions and settings), basic device information (model, operating system, language and country) and an ID that our analytics service creates for each install.
  • Crash reports. When a game crashes, a report with device and app details and what happened just before the crash.
  • Advertising data. In games with ads, our ad partners may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and how you interact with ads.
  • Purchases. In-app purchases are handled by the store you use (Apple, Google, Steam or Epic). We receive a confirmation of what you bought so we can unlock it. We never see your card or payment details.
  • Messages and requests. If you contact us or send a data deletion request, we keep your email address and what you tell us.
  • This website. The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security.

How we use it

  • To run the games, unlock your purchases and keep everything working.
  • To fix crashes and bugs, and to understand which parts of the games players enjoy.
  • To show ads in games that have them, which keeps those games free.
  • To answer your messages and handle your requests.
  • To prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the games you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping them working and improving them, your consent (for example for personalized ads, which you can withdraw at any time), and our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that run parts of the games for us: analytics, crash reporting, advertising and hosting. They may only use the data to provide their services, and they must protect it at least as well as this policy does.
  • The stores you play on (Apple, Google, Valve and Epic), which handle purchases under their own privacy policies.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers are in other countries. When data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards the law requires.

Children

Some of our games are made for children. In those games:

  • We don't ask children for personal information.
  • Ads are non-personalized and come only from ad networks certified for children's apps.
  • Analytics and crash reports don't use the advertising ID and aren't used to build profiles.

We follow children's privacy laws, such as COPPA in the United States and the GDPR in Europe. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child has given us personal information, use our data deletion page and we'll delete it.

How long we keep it

  • Analytics and crash data: up to 14 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
  • Advertising data: kept by our ad partners under their own retention policies.
  • Purchase confirmations: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Messages and data deletion requests: up to 2 years after we've dealt with them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to stop using it. To have it deleted, use our data deletion page. We reply within 30 days.

You can also:

  • Turn off personalized ads in your device's privacy settings, and reset your advertising ID there.
  • Withdraw any consent you gave in a game, from that game's settings or by contacting us.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We protect your data with access controls and encrypted connections, and we only work with providers that do the same. No system is perfectly secure, but if something goes wrong, we act quickly and tell you when the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we'll also tell you in the games or on this website.

Launch. Glitch. Repeat.
